Commencement Awards Honor Winter Graduates

The School of Information’s January 2019 commencement ceremony presented an opportunity to honor both faculty and student achievements.

Dean AnnaLee Saxenian presented awards for outstanding capstone projects from the Master of Information & Data Science program, and students in the MIDS program voted for their most outstanding instructors and teaching assistant.

ElectBot is a chatbot that helps to inform voters on important issues and candidate stances, as well as remind voters about upcoming elections. ElectBot also had a recent partnership with vote.org over the midterm election this past November.
