MIMS Admissions: Getting Started

Congratulations on taking the first step towards a MIMS degree! We understand that choosing a graduate program can be difficult, and the application process can feel daunting. But while the application process can be time consuming, it is actually less challenging than you might think, especially if you break it into manageable chunks.

It is important to make sure that MIMS (and any other graduate programs you are considering) are a good fit for you and your goals. Graduate school is a huge investment of time and money, so you want to be sure about this!

Our application pages, which are full of resources and advice, are intended to help you successfully (and painlessly) complete your MIMS application. Here are three easy steps to help you get started:

Step 1

In order to help you determine whether the MIMS program is a good fit for you, we recommend that you reflect on your academic and professional experiences, your strengths, your skills, and what you enjoy doing. Make sure that MIMS offers what you hope in terms of community, culture, curriculum, student experience, and career outcomes. Attend upcoming admissions events, learn about funding options, get to know our faculty, and of course, ask a lot of questions!

Step 2

Mark the application deadline on your calendar, and start to review and prepare our application requirements. Create an action plan with mini deadlines to help you stay on track. And don’t forget to add in some buffer time, as last minute things in life happen.

Step 3

Start with the easy sections. Check out our instructions for academics records and test scores to make some quick progress and to build up your momentum.
