SunCast

SunCast generates short-term predictions of solar irradiance for up to 3 hours using GOES satellite data. Predicting solar irradiance improves the planning and operation of photovoltaic systems and power grids resulting in fewer blackouts, reduced maintenance costs and reduced emissions there by helping combat climate change. It also allows us to smartly schedule energy-intensive tasks in periods when solar energy production is highest, enabling us to maximize the use of solar power.
