Course Description
This year, the course will focus on topics of privacy related to private and government collection of data. We will explore technical approaches to the problem of privacy and the social and legal considerations that underpin those technical methods. We will explore issues of privacy in specific examples including digital rights management systems, government databases, general communications, authentication and access control. A major part of the class will be student projects and presentations.
