Biography
Prior to coming to UC Berkeley Andrew worked for networking equipment vendors in the US and Europe writing software, testing networking equipment and helping customers [design|implement|secure|troubleshoot|break|breach] data and voice networks. In 2013 he decided to leave his software engineering background behind and transition to a career in technology and public policy focused on Internet infrastructure. Andrew graduated from the MIMS program in 2015 and began working at ICANN that same year.
He currently works as a writer and editor for ICANN publications produced by the Root Server System Advisory Committee, the Addressing Supporting Organization, and the Root Zone Evolution Review Committee. In this role he assists the technical community in developing advice for the ICANN Board and interested Internet stakeholders.
Andrew holds a bachelors in Software Engineering from James Madison University and a Master of Information Management and Systems from the UC Berkeley School of Information. Andrew lives in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and holds both US and Dutch citizenship.
