I'm originally from Louisiana but, as an avid traveler, have spent my entire adult life living and working in Europe and Asia. I've always been interested in topics concerning health policy and combined this with my analytical skills to begin my career in health economics and outcomes research consulting in the UK - a country where health economics is used to determine resource allocation within the National Health Service. I joined Roche/Genentech in 2008 as a health economist and progressed to the director role leading the team of health economists and pricing experts responsible for negotiating the approval of our (primarily) cancer therapy portfolio, with many challenges along the way! In 2013, I decided it was time to broaden my experience and have taken on various commercial roles including sales in London, business development in China, and most recently regional marketing and strategy for the Asia-Pacific Region based in Singapore. I'm now keen to get back to my more analytical roots with MIDS and have moved back to the US at the end of 2019, and hope to make a transition into a new organization where I can utilize data science to make an impact on health outcomes. I'm a lifelong learner and love being in a school setting - as demonstrated by my growing list of graduate degrees! (This is my fourth graduate degree following Masters in Health Economics, in Epidemiology, and an MBA).
