Social Studies of Information, Creativity, Literacy, Youth Culture

I am a PhD. candidate at UC Berkeley’s School of Information with a Designated Emphasis in New Media from the Berkeley Center for New Media. My research is in how people produce media in their everyday lives and how they influence and shape the technologies and infrastructure they use in this process. Previously, I was a researcher on the Digital Youth research project, a three year grant funded by the MacArthur Foundation to explore young people’s everyday use of new media. I hold a Masters in Information Management and Systems from UC Berkeley’s School of Information (’05) and a Bachelor of Arts in Science, Technology, and Society from Stanford University (’00).
