Michael Buckland, Professor in the School of Information Management & Systems (SIMS), has announced that he will retire effective January 1, 2004. During his 28 year tenure, Professor Buckland served as Dean, Assistant Vice President in the Office of the President, Professor, and Co-Director of the Electronic Cultural Atlas Initiative in International and Area Studies.
Professor Buckland will continue as Co-Director of the Electronic Cultural Atlas initiative, and as a measure of his unwavering dedication to students, he will also teach his scheduled courses in the Spring 2004.
