Spend the afternoon getting to know the 5th Year MIDS program. This online event will feature opportunities to mingle with current 5th Year MIDS students and alumni, attend a sample lecture, and discuss application requirements, student life, return on investment, and more.

5th Year MIDS Student & Alumni Panel
Frank Bruni, 5th Year MIDS'21, is currently working as a Quantitative Analytics Specialist for Wells Fargo. He was also a member of the Sports Analytics Group and Cal Club Baseball at Cal. Frank graduated with a BA in data science with an emphasis in physics.
Kevin Gu, current 5th Year MIDS student, is currently working as a Tutor for Computational Structures in Data Science at UC Berkeley. He is interested in being a business analyst to transform data into insights for solving real-world challenges. Kevin graduated with a BA in data science and computer science.
Inderpal Kaur, 5th Year MIDS'21, is currently working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Centre for Long-Term Cybersecurity (CLTC). During the 5th Year MIDS program, she focused on data science, education, and natural language processing. Inderpal graduated with a BA in data science with an emphasis in cognition.
Joyce Li, current 5th Year MIDS student, is currently working as a Product Management Intern at Dolby Laboratories. Her goal is to gain an end-to-end understanding of a product and apply data analysis and modeling to uniquely solve business problems. Joyce graduated with a BA in data science and economics.
Kseniya Usovich, current 5th Year MIDS student, is focusing on data science and product management. Currently, she works as a Transfer Peer Advisor at UC Berkeley Division of Computing, Data Science, and Society (CDSS). Kseniya graduated with a BA in cognitive science and continues to use data to create data-driven solutions whether it be at work, in research, or on her personal projects.
Amit Bhattacharyya is currently teaching Data Science W207. Applied Machine Learning. He particularly enjoys bringing real-world examples from his work (as head of data science at Vox Media) into the classroom. He received a master's and Ph.D. in physics from Indiana University, and a bachelor's in astrophysics and classics from Berkeley. He's a self-proclaimed proud and long-suffering Cal football fan.
