Course Description

The number of devices connecting to central networks is continuing to grow exponentially, many utilizing a new powerful technology: Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). The course will examine RFID implementation projects, lessons from past RFID case studies and current trends, assess the impact of RFID on existing infrastructure, design new methods to take advantage of RFID capabilities, and discuss the legal and ethical implications of RFID. This course will be taught jointly with the Center for Digital Technology & Management in Munich, Germany.
