Beyond the Property Line

Purchasing a home is often the biggest financial investment a person will make in their lifetime.  According to the National Association of Realtors, 95% of buyers in 2021 used online tools in their home search process. Real estate websites and MLS listings provide a wealth of information to prospective home buyers.  The listing price, key property characteristics, and information on nearby schools and grocery stores are readily available.  However, prospective buyers also care about how close the home sits to less desirable infrastructure types such as power plants, wastewater treatment facilities, and correctional facilities, and much of this information is not readily available to the buyer on existing platforms.  Beyond the Property Line fills this void by providing an easy-to-use interface for prospective buyers to quickly and accurately determine what types of infrastructure exist in proximity to a given home.  Additionally, for single-family homes in Somerville, MA, our product provides an indication of the effect of proximity to various infrastructure types on the home’s value.  Beyond the Property Line provides prospective home buyers with the information they need to confidently invest in their future home.
