Bopbot: the AI Dancer

Bopbot, the AI Dancer, brings a new way to invite creativity and inspiration in dance through AI and deep neural networks. Using publicly available dance videos, we are applying a combination of the OpenPose machine learning model and language models to generate novel dance choreography. Our MVP can take a short dance video from our users, who are either professional or amateur dancers looking for inspiration or the general public seeking entertainment, and present these users with a novel dance. We intend to use our MVP to contribute to industry learning about improving the training of AI models on human bodies in motion and the influence of AI on dance and in other creative arts.
