ADRIA

Adverse drug reactions are unwanted, uncomfortable, or dangerous effects a drug may have. ADRs are thought to be the 4th leading cause of death in the US.

However, for patients who want to avoid ADRs, the are barriers in the way of understanding their risk. First, drug labels contain only information from clinical trials. They have an average of only 1,500 patients, and are generally not representative of the whole population taking the drug. The most up-to-date information about ADRs is found in the medical literature, such as the Medline database. However, for most patients, the medical jargon and sheer volume of articles makes this critical information inaccessible.

This is where ADRIA comes in. ADRIA is a chatbot powered by machine learning that bridges the gap between patients and cutting edge medical research. It is powered by a odds-ratio based multiple logistic regression machine learning model that is easy to train, easy to interpret, and easy to understand.
