DOTA2 - Choose Your Hero

We created a website designed to help players of an online multiplayer video game: Defense of the Ancients 2. Our goal was to provide information on playable characters, known as Heroes, so that players of the game would be able to make smart decisions when starting their game play. We want to help a player choose the most appropriate Hero before a battle, by providing that player with crucial statistics on each Hero’s special abilities and historical performance trends. Currently there are many websites devoted to displaying each Hero’s numerical stats but these sites don’t display the data in a way that allows for a player to look at a holistic view of the Hero and they don’t provide side-by-side comparisons of Heroes. Our visualizations aim to provide this holistic view of each hero and allow for side by side comparisons of Heroes so that a player could choose the best Hero.
