Competition in DNS Governance

Courts and social regulators are confused over procedural issues for DNS governance such as jurisdictional assignment, dispute resolution and determining the appropriate location for DNS regulatory functions within the spheres of political and social organization. This paper explores the question of whether the legal and economic consequences that could result in a world of diverse, competing regulatory structures for DNS governance produce something less then a first best outcome.
