Adding the Graduate Certificate in Applied Data Science Plan for Priority Enrollment

If you are pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Applied Data Science and would like to receive priority enrollment in INFO 201, please follow these instructions.

These instructions do not apply to students at Berkeley Law, in joint UCSF-UC Berkeley programs, or in self-supporting graduate professional degree programs (such as MBA/EWMBA). If you are unsure if you are in a self-supporting degree program, please consult the link above and email your program advisor.

While we do our best to provide priority enrollment, enrollment is not guaranteed.

If you have already taken or enrolled in INFO 201, then you do not need to declare the certificate.

Your add plan request will be routed to your program/graduate advisor and the School of Information for approval; you may need to check in with your advisor to ensure they approve your request.

When the plan has been fully approved, you will become eligible for priority enrollment in INFO 201.

We recommend that you reach out to your program/graduate advisor to let them know you are pursuing the certificate program and that you are submitting the add plan request based on the instructions provided. Your advisor will also be able to provide guidance on how best to fit the certificate courses with your program requirements.
