Like any other domain, Media and Entertainment (M&E) industry has embarked and embraced the journey of big data analytics and data science. John Wanamaker proclaimed, “Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is, I don't know which half. This well summarizes how marketing dollars are spent and how we can save by targetting specific audience who are our super consumers by micro-targetting our audiences with the right content. The customer acquistion cost is significantly more thereby making scanty profits.
This is where data science, and its machine learning (ML) and Artificial general Intelligence comes into play and effective - selection optimization and accurate operationalization of ML algorithms. This helps to discover and reveal intrinsic relationships at scale and pace of the complex data backed by math and statistics with feature engineering and mathematical relationships.
I never find a closure of a knowledge gained, if it is not shared or given back to the community in any form. My passion for data science also stems from the calling within to serve the community of yoga and Ayurveda(Ancient Indian classical medical science) as I come from both yoga and Ayurveda lineage.
