Biography
I'm a French American from Washington DC with a passion for people, problem-solving, and technology. I studied Mathematics and Finance as an undergrad (University of Maryland, College Park) and afterwards worked as a software engineer at a transportation research firm. I spent over three years at the company developing a train movement simulator and other analytical tools for the Department of Transportation and the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies.
Today, I'm mostly interested in using technology to solve societal issues. I founded a nonprofit that provides mobile and desktop apps to relief organizations for tracking the locations of homeless individuals. I also volunteered for 3 months in Vietnam where I built a website and internal tools for a social enterprise advocacy group. I'm at the I School to learn more about ICTD (information and communication technologies for development), as well as to formalize my software development and data science skills.
