Biography
Hi! I’m Shalini Kunapuli, a recent UC Berkeley Statistics, Data Science, and Computer Science graduate (Class of 2020) and now a 5th Year Master of Information and Data Science (MIDS) student. I am passionate about using data and technology to improve the world, and I am a huge proponent of getting more females into computer science and closing the gender gap in tech fields.
Over the past few years, I have gotten to explore the data science/analytics space - I have been a Data Science/Analytics intern at Quizlet, LinkedIn, and UpLift Inc, where I got to explore different data science techniques in the education, social media/networking, and fintech fields. I love how versatile data science is and I am looking forward to more opportunities to explore data and hone my skills with this program and beyond.
Outside of data science, I really like to dance (Bharatanatyam and Bollywood - both are types of Indian dance), play the clarinet, read, travel, and vlog/make YouTube videos!
