Biography

Selene is a Data Scientist at McGraw Hill working at the intersection of Gen AI and education. Previously, she was a Measurement Scientist at ETS (Educational Testing Service) where she conducted statistical and psychometric analyses of data from PISA (Program for International Student Assessment). She holds a PhD degree in Quantitative Methods from University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education.

Before her career switch, Selene worked in the field of international development. She was an Education Officer in UNICEF's Nepal Country Office, Social Policy Officer in UNICEF's Regional Office for South Asia, Program Officer in the UNV (United Nations Volunteer) Office in Mongolia, and English Editor at KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency). She holds a master's degree in Public Policy from Harvard University and a bachelor's degree in International Studies from Ewha Womans University in South Korea.
