Ravi Ayyappan

Ravi Ayyappan is a seasoned cellular professional with over 16 years of industry experience in developing cutting edge wireless technology solutions. His core areas of expertise are in cellular technologies (UMTS, HSPA+, LTE and LTE-Advanced) and networking protocols. Since 2010, Ravi has been with Apple Inc. at Cupertino CA and is currently involved in data analytics for optimizing cellular device performance. Prior to joining Apple, he has worked for Samsung and Motorola. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Master’s in Chemistry from BITS Pilani, India. He also has a Master’s in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. He is a firm believer in continuous learning and is currently pursuing his Master of Information and Data Science degree at UC Berkeley. He has been awarded couple of patents in the area of wireless communication.
