I was born and raised in Peru and moved to Toronto to study Economics and Statistics. After graduation, I joined the Nielsen Company where I helped CPGs, like Coke, uncover patterns in behavioural economics and market dynamics by leveraging ANCOVA testing and Ridge Regression. My desire to continue learning about economics and statistics led me to eventually join IPG Mediabrands, a media agency holding company. IPG Mediabrands had developed a software package that combined a time series model with the Markov Chains Monte Carlo algorithm to yield reproducible market dynamics predictions. In early 2018, I joined Airbnb where I have learned to use Big Data tools such as Hive and Spark to build scalable data solutions.
