Biography
Currently living in Anchorage, Alaska, Malachy Moran is a Senior Corporate Analytics Specialist for a local telecommunications provider. He specializes in assisting Marketing, Sales, and Executive teams with planning and analysis utilizing tools such as SSMS, R-Studio, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI.
An eight year U.S. Army veteran, Malachy served as a Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic Supervisor, and finally Maintenance Control Supervisor. During his service he received numerous awards including Honor Graduate at the U.S. Army's Basic Leaders Course and the Distinguished Honor Graduate at the Advanced Leadership Course.
After leaving the Military, Malachy completed a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics with a statistics focus in February of 2020, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He is currently enrolled in the U.C. Berkeley Master of Information Data Science Program.
His primary career interests include Data Science and Scientific Research, especially surrounding wildlife management and sustainable hunting/fishing management. His non-professional interests include crosscountry skiing, fishing, backpacking, hunting, snow-shoeing and gardening. He is native language fluent in English, and conversationally proficient in Norwegian.
