My interests relate to applications of probability theory and decision making under uncertainty. I enjoy analysing data and evaluate alternative models for its variability; I routinely work on engineering problems dealing wiht extreme value analysis and modelling of environmental variables, such as waves, wind speeds, storm surges, etc. That being said, I am growing more and more interested about the broad application of statistics and probability across disciplines and to problems of different nature. I hold a PhD, M.Eng and B.Eng in Maritime Engineering, with specialization in structural reliability analysis and risk analysis.
