My focus in the MIDS program will be on time series analysis and machine learning techniques, and how they can be utilized for applications within my current industry (financial services).
Biography
Hello all! My name is James Darmody, and I live in New York City. Currently, I work within the Asset Management division of our business, focusing on investing in Hedge Funds. My interest in data science stems from a desire to help our team build out more quantitative processes that we can use as aids in investment decision making. Prior to this, I did my undergraduate studies at Stanford University where I studied social sciences, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Economics. Outside of work, my interests include sporst (particularly basketball and volleyball), sports analytics, literature, and music theory.
