To learn how to elevate analytical decision making in the modern organization through data science

Biography

While pursuing the MIDS degree at Berkeley, I work in Risk Management and Compliance (RMC) within Finance at Google. Our team, Optimization, helps to evolve and automate RMC's risk controls to ensure an efficient deal making process.

Before this, I was a Vice President in the Applied Analytics practice at AlixPartners - a global business consultancy focused on delivering results and best known for its role in pioneering the corporate turnaround. I helped sell and lead client engagements that revolved around enabling a better use of data -- internal and external, structured and unstructured -- to optimize decisions that drive revenue growth, reduce operational costs or help mitigate risk.

I started my career at IBM global business services in their Business Analytics and Optimization practice as a modeler and database developer who performed quantitative analysis. Over time, I've had an opportunity to work across industries and diverse data sets, including: Litigation, Consumer Packaged Goods, Postal, Healthcare, Transportation and Casino/Gaming. I studied economics at American University as a Presidential Scholar in NW D.C. and recently became a transplant to the SF Bay Area to work in Mountain View.
