Biography
Dr. Coyle has over 30 years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at Southern Methodist University, Morehouse College and now at the University of California at Berkeley. He helped initiate the Master’s degree programs in Software Engineering and Cybersecurity at SMU where he also developed the curriculum for the MS Online program in Computer Science with AI Specialization. At Berkeley, Dr. Coyle teaches classes in Generative AI and Large Language Models. He is also currently engaged as a lecturer and mentor with the Justice Through Code Project of Columbia University that provides formerly incarcerated individuals with coding skills and digital literacy training to support their reintegration and career development in the tech industry.
