Biography

Arnaldo Tavares is an international technology executive with over 20 years of experience in supercomputing and GPU-based parallel computing, with the last 10 years focused on the fields of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. During this period, he worked in Silicon Valley, leading the Enterprise Machine Learning division at NVIDIA. He also led strategic partnership areas at Intel AI and, over the past 5 years, has globally led AI initiatives in hybrid computing and GenAI for the financial market at AWS (Amazon Web Services).

Retired from the corporate world in July 2025, Tavares now works as an angel investor and board member of AI startups such as the Finnish company AnalysisMode. He is also an AI speaker at universities, research centers, and companies, and serves as CEO of Vanguard Data Labs, a consultancy dedicated to AI and data science.

Arnaldo holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from CEFET-RJ, a Master’s in International Business from USC (University of Southern California), and a Master’s in Data Science from UC Berkeley.
