Biography

Abdul Hardi Umar is a cybersecurity professional and aspiring consultant currently pursuing a Master’s in Information and Cybersecurity at UC Berkeley. Originally from Ghana and now based in the U.S., Abdul brings a global perspective to problem-solving and a strong passion for helping people and organizations stay secure in an increasingly digital world.

He has a wealth of experience in IT and cybersecurity, including supporting military systems and delivering real-world identity solutions across cloud environments. Beyond his technical work, Abdul led a project that brought internet and solar-powered infrastructure to a rural village in Ghana, an initiative that helped students there excel in school. He also volunteers to teach IT skills to underprivileged youth, believing that access to technology can transform lives.

Abdul is drawn to cybersecurity consulting because it allows him to combine his technical strengths with his love for working with people, solving meaningful problems, and creating a lasting impact.
