While pursuing bachelor’s degrees in media studies and microbial biology as a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholar, Ian Castro ’21, [MIMS] ’23 saw a Facebook recommendation for Data 8. Had he discovered data science sooner, it likely would have been his major.
