E-Mails Reveal More Problems On CalJobs Website

A California lawmaker is calling for a hearing to look into problems with the state Employment Development Department's CalJobs website.
It's the result of a CBS 5 investigation, which found glaring security holes in the site, flaws that may have put hundreds of thousands of Californians at risk for identity theft....
CBS 5 Investigates first asked UC Berkeley computer science [and information] professor Doug Tygar about the site last year. Now he said those documents not only confirm everything he found, but also go further.
"These memos indicate that CalJobs had far deeper security problems than we realized in our testing. There is a clear admission that the problem has been there since the system was created in 1996. We're still seeing that problem now, 15 years later. I mean really its just outrageous," Tygar said....
