I School adjunct professor Eric Kansa and the I School's ISD program are partners on a new NASA research grant.
The NASA grant program supports education and public outreach activities to help "inspire the next generation of science leaders and explorers."
Kansa will be partnering with astronomer Bryan Mendez and researchers from UC Berkeley's Space Sciences Laboratory over the next five years on a project titled "A Forum to Support Excellence in Heliophysics Education and Public Outreach through Sustained Collaboration."
Kansa and the ISD program will be designing information and dissemination services for the education forum; their involvement will help make it easier to re-purpose data collected by NASA missions for educational purposes.
