The University of California at San Diego has announced that I School Professor Bob Glushko will receive a 2007 "Alumni Award for Excellence" for his distinguished service to the university. Glushko, who received his PhD in cognitive science from UCSD, is being described as "a legendary campus leader" whose "successful community building and leadership within the Cognitive Science Department at UCSD has energized and re-engaged alumni as mentors, host interns, lecturers and employers."
