Vivien Petras (PhD '06) has accepted a position as the Deputy Head of Research and Development for the Social Sciences Information Centre in Bonn, Germany. The center is a public sector institution that collects and disseminates information on the current state of research and literature in the social sciences in the German-speaking countries as well as on social science research in Eastern Europe. Dr. Petras will continue her research with Professor Ray Larson and Professor Emeritus Michael Buckland on the IMLS funded project "Support the Learner: What, Where, When and Who" over the summer and then return to Germany to assume her new position.
