Mark your calendars! Big Give 2025 is happening on March 13, 2025 — a day to celebrate and support the UC Berkeley School of Information.

For 24 hours, the global I School community will come together to make a lasting impact. Your contributions help shape the future of data science, cybersecurity, information management, and beyond. Together, we can empower the next generation of information leaders.

This year, there are a variety of ways to support the I School:

Become an Ambassador

Be an influencer and reach out to your networks, highlighting the I School’s missions, initiatives, and funds. Sign up today and receive limited-edition UC Berkeley merch after you’ve encouraged any two people to give using your personalized link!

Participate in Contests

Upload a picture or post at a specified time period to put the I School in the running for extra funds. Templates for posts are available in the volunteer toolkit. Or donate at the designated time based on your affiliation to the I School.

CONTEST: Brightest Blue and Gold Memory

9 am to 11 am

Share your favorite memory from Cal on Instagram or X (Twitter). Include #CalBigGive and #ISchool. 

CONTEST:  Strike a Pose, Be The Light!

10 am to 12 pm

Fill in the blank on Instagram or X (Twitter), "The I School deserves Big Give love bc_______" Include #CalBigGive and #ISchool.

CONTEST: Show Your Cal Spirit

2 pm to 4 pm

Share a photo of you and/or your friends in your best blue and gold gear on Instagram or X (Twitter), including #ISchool and #CalBigGive. 

MOST FACULTY & STAFF DONORS

11 am to 1 pm

Fiat Lux Faculty & Staff! Top 2 funds with the most unique faculty and staff donors win additional prize money. ($1,250; $750)

RANDOM YOU + 2 AMBASSADORS

9 am to 9 pm

3 random ambassadors that meet the criteria for You+2 will win $500 in additional prize money to the affinity area they selected in the Ambassador Dashboard or the area that they supported.
