5th Year MIDS Open House

Tuesday, February 7, 2023
5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Come join us in South Hall to get a first-hand look into life as a 5th Year MIDS student, and to experience our very special I School culture and community! The evening will feature presentations from I School faculty, staff, current 5th Year MIDS students, and MIDS alumni. We will share information about application requirements, career paths, student experience, curriculum, and more! Finally, there will be plenty of time to chat with and get your specific questions answered by current 5th Year MIDS students and alumni, faculty, and staff. And, pizza will be served. The evening is sure to be fun and informative!

    Panelists

    Jaypal Bhatia, MIDS '22, is currently working as Solutions Engineer at Snowflake. He is passionate about technology and business and would like to combine his background in business and data science to help drive strategic decision-making. Jaypal graduated with a BS in business administration. 

    Kevin Gu, MIDS '22, is currently working as Data Scientist at Experian. He hopes to become a business analyst, where he can transform data into insights for solving real-world challenges. Kevin graduated with a BA in data science and computer science.

    Arsh Hothi, current 5th Year student, is passionate about building technology that is intuitive, pragmatic, and people-first in scope. Before joining the I School, he worked as the director of tech and product at the Daily Californian. Arsh graduated with a B.A. in economics. 

    Riya Shrestha, current 5th Year student, is passionate about the intersection of health and tech, specifically in addressing healthcare inequity and improving global health. She is currently working as the Program Manager at The Science Corps. Riya graduated with a bachelors degree in molecular environmental biology.
