Virtual 5th Year MIDS Open House
Spend the afternoon getting to know the 5th Year MIDS program. This online event will feature opportunities to mingle with current 5th Year MIDS students and alumni, attend a sample lecture, and discuss application requirements, student life, return on investment, and more.

MIDS Students/Alumni Panel
Joshua Archer, 5th Year MIDS'21, is currently working as a Data Science Analyst for Revolve. He works closely with business leaders in Marketing, Product, Operations, and Buying Teams to plan out valuable data science projects. Josh graduated with a B.A. in economics.
Angela Guan, current 5th Year student, is passionate about applying data science to answer business questions, making optimizations, and data-driven decisions. Angela is currently a Graduate Student Instructor for Stats C8: Foundation for Data Science and graduated with a B.A. in data science and computer science.
Kaavya Shah, current 5th Year MIDS student, is focusing on data science for social good. Last semester, she worked as a Reader for Data 144: Data Mining and Analytics. Kaavya graduated with a B.A. in data science.
Faculty Lecture
Amit Bhattacharyya is currently teaching Data Science W207. Applied Machine Learning. He particularly enjoys bringing real-world examples from his work (as head of data science at Vox Media) into the classroom. He received a master's and Ph.D. in physics from Indiana University, and a bachelor's in astrophysics and classics from Berkeley. He's a self-proclaimed proud and long-suffering Cal football fan.
