Nereyda Esparza

This session welcomes Nereyda Esparza, US director of client delivery & operations at General Assembly, to the I School to share stories that chart her career in global strategy and ed-tech. Nereyda will talk about the impact allyship and storytelling has had on her career.

Nereyda Esparza has spent the last ten years of her career at the intersection of technology and education with a focus on economic mobility and diversity.

Currently, Nereyda serves as the US director for client success & delivery at General Assembly, where she leads an experienced organization of customer success and learning experience teams to deliver enterprise engagements to success.

Prior to GA, Nereyda worked at Facebook in global operations to help make Facebook a safer place to build community and at Amazon where she led the largest value, strategic account implementations of Amazon Business with commercial enterprise customers.

Nereyda has been lucky to work with teams spanning product development, marketing, global strategy, sales, and efficacy research to build the next generation of ed-tech products. At Pearson Education, she was selected out of 685 qualified applicants to participate in their competitive, two-year rational leadership development program.

She is passionate about diversity in business and was part of the Hispanic Austin Leadership Class of 2020 sponsored by the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

When not in the office, Nereyda loves to travel and has found opportunities to live and study abroad in the UK, Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. She has a bachelor's degree from Smith College and a master’s degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Oxford.
