Giving Tuesday

Tuesday, December 1, 2020

Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) is an institutional initiative and core value enveloping all aspects of the School of Information’s teaching, learning, and research. While the school has made great strides in improving gender equity and creating a welcoming climate, there is still much work to be done to foster a more diverse student body. Because we are educating the technologists and tech policymakers of tomorrow, it is critical that we recruit the best and brightest students who are also the most reflective of society.

Fellowships help the I School attract talented and deserving students and fuel a dynamic community that is fundamental to innovative teaching and research. The I School Opportunity Fellowship Fund provides fellowship support to students who have overcome significant challenges; shown leadership in the fields of diversity, equity, and inclusion; or whose research addresses social inequality and/or social impact.

Please join us this Giving Tuesday and support the I School’s Opportunity Fellowship fund and help us shape a more just and equitable information technology landscape now and in the future. Become an ambassador or make a gift this Giving Tuesday!
