Geospatial Data Platform Demo and Discussion

Monday, May 7, 2018
10:30 am to 12:00 pm
Charles Chapin, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency

I School students, faculty, and scholars are invited to a demonstration and discussion of GEOWorks, the new geospatial data platform from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

This discussion will be led by Charles Chapin, deputy chief of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s Office of Ventures & Innovation.

GEOWorks allows people to access NGA’s geospatial data in a single place, view it in a 3D globe, and run data science operations in a prepaid AWS environment. The platform is currently a prototype, and Charles and his team are hoping to get critical feedback on the platform and features as they continue development.

Join us in either person or online.
