Jonathan Reiber, Senior Fellow, Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity

Jonathan Reiber will become a senior fellow with the UC Berkeley Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity in mid-October 2015. He previously served as chief strategy officer in the Office of Cyber Policy, in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. In this position, he led strategic initiatives across the cyber policy portfolio, including strategic planning; key international, interagency, and industry partnerships; and strategic communications. He led cyber engagements with countries across the Middle East, initiated and oversaw the development of DoD's cyber partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and led the reform of DoD's approach to cyber mission assurance and cyber risk management. He was the principal author of The Department of Defense Cyber Strategy (2015).


The Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity Seminar Series seeks to identify cutting-edge cybersecurity challenges from across a variety of key areas, including system and network security, government and critical infrastructure security, and consumer and data privacy security.
