Diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice (DEIBJ) is an institutional initiative and core value enveloping all aspects of the School of Information’s teaching, learning, and research.
While the school has made great strides in improving gender equity and creating a welcoming climate, there is still much work to be done to foster a more diverse student body. Because we educate highly skilled and highly placed information professionals and policymakers of tomorrow, it is critical that we recruit the best and brightest students who are also the most reflective of society today.
Fellowships from the I School Opportunity Fund are designed to do just that by attracting talented and deserving students and fueling a diverse and dynamic community that is fundamental to innovative teaching and research.
