Everyday Health Narrated By Wearables
MIMS Final Project 2015

Linked Living

Linked Living is an application with wearable devices and a web platform that helps older adults, their family members in distant locations, and other stakeholders (e.g. caregivers) to communicate about how the older persons’ lives are and how healthy they are, in more effective, humane, and narrative ways.

We will collect sensor data through wearable devices with sensors, analyze the data together with other contextual data available (e.g. weather, temperature) and estimate the old people’s activities and state. Then, our system will generate narrative, visualized descriptions of their day and health infographic over time and deliver to family members and caregivers through a web application, which are more digestible and useful than merely statistics and data logs.
