Soumya Ray is a visiting scholar at the School of Information in UC-Berkeley, and serves as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Service Science in National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. His research interests include empirical studies of user behavior and methodological advancement of statistical techniques for social sciences using predictive methodologies. Specific domain topics of interest include human control, privacy, enagagement, and switching costs. His teaching interests include computational statistics, domain driven development, IT service architectures, and secure services.
