Biography

Naveen Ashish is Chief Scientist at InferLink Corporation and a part-time Instructor at UC Berkeley. At InferLink, he currently serves as Principal Investigator on (i) KGISR: Knowledge Graphs for Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance, a Phase II R&D project funded by the U.S. Air Force, and (ii) GENESIS: Generative AI for Educational Systems and Instructional Support, a Phase I R&D project funded by the U.S. Navy.

Over a 25-year career, Ashish has worked across academia, biomedical research, government laboratories, and industry. His prior roles include faculty appointments at UC Irvine and the University of Southern California, and research leadership positions at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and NASA Ames Research Center. He also serves as a consultant and advisor to the private sector, particularly small companies and startups.

Ashish is passionate about teaching,  in tandem with his research in Data Science and AI. He has taught multiple graduate- and undergraduate-level courses at the University of Washington, Seattle, and, more recently, at UC Berkeley.

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a BTech in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur, India.
