Researcher and consultant on artificial intelligence

Biography

I'm a researcher and consultant specializing on artificial intelligence, including deep learning methods for computer vision, natural language processing, and generative adversarial networks. I have lectured widely (most recently at Cambridge University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and at the London School of Economics). I have done extensive consulting work in healthcare, pharma, legal tech, agriculture, ad tech, and finance as well as held advisory roles for startups.

After my PhD, I joined Berkeley's department of electrical engineering and computer science as post doctoral fellow under the supervision of Prof. Kurt Keutzer and then I taught entrepreneurship and machine learning at Berkeley's Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology.

Between 2013 and 2015, in my spare time I co-founded and was technology officer of the University of California at Berkeley's Humanities and Social Sciences Association (hssa.berkeley.edu), which grew to 2000 members in our first year of operation.
