This fall, the UC Berkeley School of Information welcomed 54 new Master of Information Management and Systems students to the Berkeley campus.
The MIMS Class of 2028 comes to Berkeley from a variety of different countries and regions, including Cameroon, China, Ghana, India, Japan, Mexico, Mongolia, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States.
Most of the new MIMS students are returning to school from the working world, with an average of five years of work experience. Their previous job titles include Product Manager, Teacher, Research Director, Content Manager, Tax QA Analyst, Software Engineer, Wildland Firefighter, Spatial Programmer, UX/UI Designer, and Marine Inspector.
