First up is the twenty-hour hackathon held at the Berkeley School of Information. This year’s theme was centered on social innovation. Sponsored by the Peace Corps, the event kicked off on Friday at 5 pm and had participants deal with real-world problems — challenges that included problem statements from volunteers all over the world. Collaborating with tech-savvy minds to solve some of the day-to-day problems of the Peace Corps volunteers, the event seeks to hack for a cause....
