Centennial Experience
Join us as we celebrate two defining milestones in the history of the UC Berkeley School of Information: 108 years since the launch of Berkeley’s first full-time program in library science and 100 years since the establishment of the School of Librarianship. Together, these milestones honor the School’s remarkable evolution into today’s School of Information and mark the beginning of its second century.
Spend the afternoon and evening reconnecting with classmates, engaging with faculty and students, revisiting South Hall, and celebrating the ideas, people, and innovations that continue to shape information, technology, and society.

| 4:30–5:30 pm | Centennial ReceptionCelebrate with alumni, faculty, students, and friends while enjoying refreshments and opportunities to reconnect before the evening program. |
| 5:30–8:00 pm | Centennial Celebration: Dinner & ConversationJoin Dean Eric Meyer for a special conversation with alumni, faculty, and distinguished guests reflecting on the School’s remarkable evolution; from its beginnings in library science to its leadership today in information, technology, and society, and looking ahead to the opportunities that will define the School’s second century. Additional speakers will be announced. |
