The I School is made of so many moments — Big Give is one of them
The I School experience is made up of a million little moments, and Big Give — our annual fundraising blitz — is one of them. In 2019, the big event falls on Thursday, March 14. That’s Pi Day, too! If you’re at South Hall, be sure to be on the lookout for some pi(e)-themed fun!
This year we’re celebrating Dean Anno Saxenian and her 15 years of outstanding leadership. Big Give is the perfect time for everyone: alumni, students, faculty, and staff, to celebrate Anno with a gift to the AnnaLee Saxenian Graduate Student Support fund or any I School fund. Just be sure to show your love by making an online gift on March 14, selecting the “I am giving in honor of someone” button and entering her name in the text box below - we’ll do the rest.
Your gift to any I School fund will count towards our Big Give goals and provides foundational support to help keep the I School’s teaching, learning, and research initiatives excellent.
Contests
Help the School of Information make a big impact on the big day by helping us win prize money offered by campus! Your participation helps boost our performance in the contests with big awards for our overall performance:

- Raising the Bar — help us surpass last years gift count (Every individual gift to the I School counts!)
There are also hourly contests throughout the day of giving. Some are based on giving during that period, others are awarded based on social media participation.

Big Give is an online fundraising event that gives you and the entire Cal community — alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends — the chance to come together to support the School of Information or schools and programs, and help those schools and programs win prize money.
